CHALLENGE:

For a large new renovation of the Missouri Botanic Gardens, designers and specifiers were seeking a “fireflies in the summer” effect—soft, scattered points of light to add visual interest and warmth. The design needed to cover a large area while avoiding the use of bulky or distracting canopies.

THE SOLUTION:

The strategic power feeds and swag hooks of the Quatro Modular System allowed for dozens of 3” Acrylic globe pendants to fill the main lobby of the Botanic Gardens while maintaining a discreet, integrated canopy appearance. The clear acrylic pendants glittered without distraction at randomly staggered lengths across the main information areas, and a warm 2700K color temperature evoked the warm glow of fireflies. The result was the appearance of a summer garden at night, delivered quickly and within budget for the newly renovated gardens.
