CHALLENGE:
As a central part of a large new construction project, designers sought an impressive pendant lighting system that could highlight the facility’s main “great hall.” Challenges included a two-story sloped ceiling, limited junction boxes for drivers, and budget constraints.
THE SOLUTION:
Blackjack’s solution used a 96-inch Solo system, with each run supporting 22 pendants in two sizes, suspended at varying heights and mounted along the centerline of the hall. The sloped ceiling posed no issue, as the Solo system accommodates mounting angles up to 30 degrees, while random run lengths between 131 and 200 inches helped visually fill the space.
